Position: Informatica Engineer

FT/PT Status: Full-Time Employment

Clearance: Secret Clearance required

Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or equivalent professional experience.

Overview:
The Informatica Engineer will establish detailed system architectures to include system schematics, system and subsystem performance-based descriptions, and key interfaces between them. The incumbent will be responsible for defining tools, techniques, and end-user participation in the Agile method to capture requirements, provide requirements traceability, construct, and generate source code and produce executable code modules. The Informatica Engineer will apply software development processes to assist in special design considerations including network design approaches, teleprocessing design specifications, data control, security, and audit procedures; archived historical, current data purging and data entry criteria, scheduling, disaster recovery, special quality assurance factors and configuration control requirements.

Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with government personnel. Stakeholders, business analysts and data modelers to understand requirements for detailed system architectures.

• Define hardware and software specifications including sizing and performance requirements, systems and subsystems, interface requirements, and systems control requirements.

• Design database structures, file characteristics, file layouts, data dictionary entries, file indices for each subsystem, database schema, and subschema.

• Finalize input and output design to data flows, data dictionary entries, dialogue specifications and lists of all inputs and outputs by subsystem.

• Define detailed processing logic for each module, data dictionary entries for parameter data and a list of compile and load units for each design unit and their component modules.

• Identify, define, and design capacity requirements and any associated limitations.

• Develop, deliver, and maintain Traceability Matrixes, Technical Design Document (TDD), and Security Models to detail the designs of new system or systems changes to meet future technical and functional requirements.

Education/Skills/ Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• Active Secret Clearance
• 5+ years of software development experience, especially in a federal environment.
• 5+ years of experience designing systems and subsystems
• Demonstrated experience developing technical documentation for complex health systems
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
